DirtRides.nz Just Got a Massive Upgrade
We’ve given DirtRides.nz a major refresh, with better event information, Google Maps integration, and a redesigned mobile experience. Plus, we’ve got plenty more on the way — including offline ride information, a mobile app, and track visualisation.

I’m happy to announce that DirtRides.nz has just undergone some massive site updates!
Our event ingestion system has been significantly improved, helping us better understand ride listings and provide clearer, more useful information about upcoming events.
We’ve also switched our mapping system over to Google Maps. It’s a platform most people are already familiar with, so hopefully finding rides, checking locations, and figuring out where you’re heading is now that little bit easier.
📱 A much better mobile experience
More than 90% of DirtRides visitors are using the site from their phones, so we’ve rethought much of the layout and design with mobile users in mind.
The goal is simple: make the site easy to use while you’re out and about, and get you the information you care about as quickly as possible.
🏍️ There’s plenty more coming
We’re already working on some exciting new features.
One of the big ones is a DirtRides mobile app, which will let you access ride and event information offline — perfect for those remote rides where mobile reception is patchy or nonexistent.
We’re also working on a track map visualiser for events where GPS tracks are available. You’ll be able to explore the actual riding routes in advance, get a feel for the terrain, and see where some of the interesting sections might be before you even arrive.
