About this Ride
Location: SH 5, Napier-Taupo Road, Taharua Rd, Wainui Forest.
Directions: The event is located off Taharua Rd, SH 5 (Napier/Taupo Rd), about 25 minutes from Taupo. Arrows on SH 5 corner into Taharua then just past the one lane bridge, turn right into the forest (Homestead Road).
Classes: Suitable for all abilities (no quads or dogs) due to forestry rules.
Terrain: Over 100kms of rolling hills, winding gullies, cranking firebreaks & jumps. Millions of berms and mega traction. Main trails freshly groomed after each event. Optional expert only trails available, plus purpose-built tracks for novice riders and kids.
Ride fees:
- Saturday: Adult $70, Child (under 11) $40, Youth 11-15 $50, Family 2+3 $200
- Weekend: Adult $100, Child (under 11) $50, Youth 11-15 $60, Family 2+3 $300
- Sunday: Adult $60, Child (under 11) $20, Youth 11-15 $30, Family 2+3 $140
Additional Details: Fire extinguishers compulsory for adults. Available for purchase at $30 with a return option for $20.
Food available: Awesome Coffee, Great Food, and Cold drinks for sale. New Savanahs Food Cart.
Demo and hire bikes available. Book hire bikes early. Bike service with Huka Honda.
Camping: Available in a paddock near the ride. No charge currently. 1 Portaloo available. No dogs, fires, or riding around the paddock.
