About this Ride
Location
Burt's Farm, Mimiha Road, Matata, Whakatane district.
Signposted from the Matata Straights SH2 at Mimiha Road, about 5 km north of Matata.
The ride
Main track approximately 18–20 km long.
Short cut home available for riders who do not want to complete the whole track, about 4 km long.
Kids track and a family track available. The family track is about 3–5 km long and designed for children and their parents only.
Fees
- Senior: $50
- Youth: $25 (10 years old up to and including secondary school)
- Under 10: $10
- Family: $100 (includes dad, mum plus up to 3 children under 15)
Senior riders are charged an extra $5 to help pay the paramedics.
Requirements
- Mandatory to carry a fire extinguisher at all times on rides.
- Cash only. No EFTPOS on site.
Notes
Registrations from 8:30 onwards.
Gate opens for riding at approximately 9:00 am when the track has been swept.
Rain check day if heavy rain looks imminent. This will either be the next day Sunday or the following Saturday.
