About this Ride
Location
Burt's Farm, Mimiha Road, Matata, Whakatane district.
Signposted from the Matata Straights on SH2 at Mimiha Road, about 5 km north of Matata.
The ride
Main track approximately 18–20 km.
Short cut home available for riders who do not want to complete the full track, about 4 km.
Kids track and a family track also available. The family track is about 3–5 km and is designed for children and their parents only.
Times
- Registrations from 8:30 onwards
- Gate opens for riding at approximately 9:00 after the track has been swept
- Tracks close at approximately 3:00 pm
Fees
- Senior: $50
- Youth: $25 (10 years old up to and including secondary school)
- Under 10: $10
- Family: $100 (includes dad, mum plus up to 3 children under 15)
Senior riders are being charged an extra $5 to help pay the paramedics.
Requirements
- Mandatory to carry a fire extinguisher at all times on rides
- No EFTPOS on site; cash only
Notes
Rain check day if heavy rain looks imminent. This will either be the next day Sunday or the following Saturday.
