Burt’s Trail Ride

Location

Burt's Farm, Mimiha Road, Matata, Whakatane district.

Signposted from the Matata Straights SH2 at Mimiha Road, about 5 km north of Matata.

The ride

The main track is approximately 18-20 km long.

There is a short cut home for riders who do not want to do the whole track, about 4 km long.

There is a kids track and a family track. The family track is about 3-5 km long and is designed for children and their parents only.

Requirements

It is mandatory to carry a fire extinguisher at all times on the rides.

Fees

• Senior: $50
• Youth: $25 (10 years old up to and including secondary school)
• Under 10: $10
• Family: $100 (includes dad, mum plus up to 3 children under 15)

Senior riders are charged an extra $5 to help pay the paramedics.

Notes

• Registrations from 8:30 onwards.
• Gate opens for riding at approximately 9:00am when the track has been swept.
• Tracks close at approximately 3:00pm.
• No eftpos on site; cash only.
• Rain check day if heavy rain looks imminent.
• This will either be the next day Sunday or the following Saturday.
