About this Ride
Location
Burt's Farm, Mimiha Road, Matata, Whakatane district.
Signposted from the Matata Straights SH2, at Mimiha Road about 5 km north of Matata.
The ride
The main track is approximately 18-20 km long.
There is a short cut home for people who do not want to do the whole track, about 4 km long.
There is a kids track and a family track, only 3-5 km long, designed for children and their parents only.
Times
- Registrations from 8:30 onwards
- Gate opens for riding at approximately 9:00 am, when the track has been swept
- Tracks close at approximately 3:00 pm
Fees
- Senior: $50
- Youth: $25 (10 years old up to and including secondary school)
- Under 10: $10
- Family: $100 (includes dad, mum plus up to 3 children under 15)
Senior riders are being charged an extra $5 to help pay the Paramedics.
Requirements
It is mandatory to carry a fire extinguisher at all times on rides.
There is no eftpos on site. Cash only.
Notes
If heavy rain looks imminent, there will be a rain check day. This will either be the next day Sunday or the following Saturday.
