About this Ride
Location
Burt's Farm, Mimiha Road, Matata, Whakatane district.
Signposted from the Matata Straights SH2, at Mimiha Road about 5 km north of Matata.
The ride
- Main track approx 18-20 km long.
- Short cut home available for riders who don't want to do the whole track, about 4 km long.
- Kids track available.
- Family track is 3-5 km long and designed for children and their parents only.
Fees
- Senior: $50
- Youth: $25 (10 years old up to and including secondary school)
- Under 10: $10
- Family: $100 (includes dad, mum plus up to 3 children under 15)
Senior riders are charged an extra $5 to help pay the paramedics.
Requirements
- Mandatory to carry a fire extinguisher at all times on rides.
- Cash only. No EFTPOS on site.
Notes
Registrations from 8:30 onward. Gate opens for riding at about 9:00 after the track has been swept. Tracks close about 3:00 pm.
Rain check day if heavy rain looks imminent. This will either be the next day Sunday or the following Saturday. Email or ring if unsure.
