Hard Ass Trail Ride

Location

Honda Motorcycle Park, Maramarua Forest, Hauraki.

Sealed road all the way to the car park.

Honda Park, Maramarua Forest, Maramarua is signposted at Kopuku Road off SH2 between the Maramarua Golf Club and the Red Fox Tavern.

From Auckland allow about an hour. The turnoff to the forest is on the right 2 km past the Maramarua Golf Club on State Highway 2. Turn right into Kopuku Road, after 10 km look for the left onto Schumacker Road.

The ride

First ride at Maramarua after the winter.

Come test yourself but don't complain if you find it tough.

Try out some enduro tracks before the bulldozer and tractor go in to groom the regular trails. The hard enduro trails will be closed after this until The Pines race in March.

Greg says the regular tracks like Stairway, Erzberg, Motul Maze, and the Motomuck Kids Track will be open but need careful attention as there are water ruts and the like.

It's your chance to give some of the hard stuff used for The Pines Hard Enduro a go, like Oakdens, The Felling, and more.
