Mangatangi Trail Ride

Location

783 Kaiaua Road, Mangatangi.

The track is within about half an hour's drive from Pukekohe and Thames.

The ride

Approx. 25 km main loop with optional technical A loops.

Terrain includes open farmland, medium hills, and native bush.

Also available:

• Family loop: approx. 10 km
• Kids track: approx. 1 km
• Pee wee track separate to the main loop by the car park area

Tracks are marshalled.

Times

Gate opens at 08:00 both days.

Sign-on from 08:30 both days.

No riders briefing. Refer to the board at the registration tent; paper copies available on request.

Tracks open from about 10:00 and gates close at 15:00.

Fees

• Day entry: Adult $50pp, Child (12 and under) $20
• Two-day ride pass (Sat and Sun): Adult $80pp, Child $30

Eftpos and cash available.

Requirements

• For 2 and 4 wheeler riders only
• Strictly no 4x4s or side by side
• All children under 15 must always be accompanied by an adult
• Children must enter the main loop gateway with an adult rider
• Helmets are compulsory for all riders
• Fire extinguishers are recommended but not compulsory
• Wear sensible clothing: boots, long clothing, and ideally goggles
• Ensure your bike is in good nick and you have plenty of fuel

Facilities

Camping available Saturday night.

Only facility on site is portaloos. No running water available. Bring your own camping equipment and take responsibility for your rubbish. Children are welcome. Event organiser will be onsite.

BBQ and refreshments available for sale during the day as part of a school fundraising campaign.
