Mighty Mokau Trail Bike Ride Trail

Location

Piripiri Station, Taumatamaire Station and McDavitt Farm, Waitomo district.

Turn into Manganui Road, 200 metres north of the Awakino Junction Service Station, North Taranaki. After about 1.5 km take the first right into Taumatamaire Road. First driveway on the right: Piripiri Station.

The ride

Two loops with A and B sections.

• Novice track
• Most loops suitable for side by sides
• River and road sections
• Free Peewee track
• Ride as many times as you like
• Free kids track for young riders, 70cc and under, with adult supervision

Suitable for 2 and 4 wheelers.

Some tracks are suitable for side by sides.

UTVs are not suitable if wider than 165 cm.

Times

• Sign on from 08:00
• Riders briefing: 09:00
• Staggered start: 09:30
• Tracks close approximately 15:00

Fees

• Adult: $50 online, $60 on the day
• Child (15 and under): $20, $30 on the day
• Side-by-side passenger: $10
• Online registrations are $5 less than on-the-day price
• No family concession
• Costs cover all tracks

Requirements

• Protective gear compulsory: helmets, boots, log pants, long-sleeved top
• Fire extinguishers are recommended to be carried by all riders/bikes
• MNZR permitted event
• Under MNZ rules, helmet-mounted cameras are not permitted
• Body-mounted and motorcycle-mounted cameras are acceptable
