About this Ride
Location
Start and finish in Te Awamutu, Waikato.
Friday registration and briefing at Redoubt Bar & Eatery, 423 Alexandra St, Te Awamutu.
The ride
GPS-navigated adventure ride of over 500 km in one day, in and around the Southern Waikato region.
Includes private farmland and forestry roads and tracks, plus back roads linking sections together. Suitable for road-legal dual-purpose adventure motorcycles fitted with new to near-new knobbly tyres.
Depending on weather, some sections may require a moderate level of off-road skill, including short steeper climbs and descents, slippery or muddy terrain, and stream crossings.
Shortcuts will be available for riders wanting to finish earlier.
At least one rider in each group should be competent using GPS navigation.
Fees
- Ride fee: $175
- Includes Friday night registration and briefing
- Includes sweep crew and support vehicle
- Includes GPS coordinates
- Includes all land access fees
Requirements
- All riders must sign on and attend the Friday 8:00 pm briefing.
- Entries are limited.
Schedule
Registration: Friday 12th March from 18:00.
Briefing: Friday 12th March at 20:00.
Ride starts early Saturday morning.
Riders may meet back at the bar late afternoon or early evening after the ride.
